Aurangabad is a city in the Aurangabad district of Maharashtra, India. Aurangabad is the base to explore the World Heritage Sites of Ajanta and Ellora. The city was named after Aurangzeb who the city founded in 1610. Several fine Mughal monuments surround Aurangabad, including Aurangazeb's mausoleum for his wife, the 'Bibi-ka-Maqbara' resembling Taj Mahal.
