Chittorgarh is in the southern part of Rajasthan, lies on the Berach River, a tributary of the Banas.
The main reason for visiting Chittorgarh is its massive hilltop fort, which is a depiction of Rajput culture and values.Chittorgarh echoes with the tales of romance and valour unique to the Rajput tradition. A ruined citadel, where the royal past lives in its imposing forts, graceful palaces and spectacular 'chhatris'. Chittorgarh remains replete with historic associations and holds a very special place in the hearts of Rajputs, as it was a bastion of the clan at a time when every other stronghold had succumbed to invasion.
