The HRH Group of hotels, Udaipur has acquired another Fort,
situated 175 kms from Udaipur, Situated in Pali district on the route to
Jodhpur, Auwa Fort is in the midst of a village steeped in history. Auwa, has a glorious past and played a pioneering in the
mutiny of 1875 when the whole village joined and sacrificed their lives fighting
until the last breath. Later on, for this act of sacrifice for the motherland
the British Regime had ordered that the whole village be razed to the ground. Auwa was reconstructed once again, with great determination of
the people and the Tahkur Sahib of Auwa. Presently the fort houses a beautifully
constructed traditional home of the Thakurs of Auwa. Historic Resort Hotels,
Udaipur is developing the fort to offer quiet luxury of a retreat in an
aesthetically converted resort.
The guests would be able to take a jeep ride visiting Bhils and Garasia
tribal villages to understand thier culture and participate in their
festivities. Similarly, a camel or horse ride into the nearby wildlife sanctuary
could get you to spot wild boar, spotted deer, blue bulls, sloth bear and
possible a panther in their natural habitat
