Kota is one of the most important cities of Rajasthan province and is included in the top 3 cities of Rajasthan with Jaipur and Jodhpur.Kota lies along the banks of the Chambal River.The history of the city dates back to the 12th century A.D. when the Hada chieftain, Rao Deva, conquered the territory and founded Bundi and Hadoti. From nature excursions in the region's valleys to the fortresses and palaces, Kota offers a lot for the traveller. Apart from the several monuments that reflect the erstwhile glory of the town, Kota is also known for its palaces and gardens.
